Dhammapada – Buddhist Book and few words!

Fortunately last month, I had a chance to read a Buddhist literature. I liked it very much. Some times, I used to spend lot of time in reading a book. At the end, I will feel that the book was useless stuff and my time and effort were buried like burnt out forest tree. However, this book, I enjoyed very much. Thanks, to the best writ of the author.

I will quote from the book, I read:

“Misers certainly do not go to heaven, Fools don’t like being generous. But, the wise, rejoicing in giving, finds joy in the higher worlds”

“Look upon one who tells you your faults as giving you a hidden treasure, as a wise person who shows you the dangers of life. Follow that persons: If you do, you will see good and not evil.”

“Buddha, having emaciated himself for no reason in cruel self-abuse, realized- that this was not the way to peace, or knowledge, or liberation….. one who ruins his body can never gain awakening”

“Those who can control their rising anger as a driver controls a vehicle, those are good drivers; others only hold the reins”

The book is none other than ” Dhammapada”, -The Buddhist holy book.
